Voted BEST BUDGET KIDNEY CAT FOOD BY CATS.COM! Dave’s Phosphorus Formula* was developed with the help of a Veterinarian to support kidney health in cats. It is a highly specific Chicken Liver & Chicken recipe with higher-than- normal** amounts of animal-based protein to aid in digestion and overall wellness. Keep in mind, many cats don’t like “restricted” foods because there cannot be lots of meat in them. Meat is where the phosphorus is. Try noodling around with the food a bit, to entice your little one to eat.

Because of its low phosphorus content, AAFCO requires us to state that it is for supplemental feeding only. The low levels of magnesium and phosphorous in the food do not meet The Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO) requirements for healthy adult maintenance. We only recommend using this food if your pet is having an issue that requires them to be on a low, restricted diet. Once (and if) the issue resolves, you would want to switch back to a regular maintenance diet. If the issue is chronic, it is okay to maintain the diet. As always, we recommend speaking with your veterinarian concerning feeding guidelines when your pet is challenged by health issues.
